ABSTRACT
This chapter presents an exploratory study that examines explicitly and systematically the self-identity of nursing home residents suffering from dementia. Information was obtained from different sources: the resident who suffers from dementia, his/her family member, and a formal caregiver. Considering the preliminary data, some conceptual, methodological, and clinical inferences were drawn.
