ABSTRACT

Belize, formerly known as British Honduras, is the only English-speaking country in Central America. Located on the Yucatán Peninsula bordering Mexico to the north and northwest, Guatemala to the west and south, and the Caribbean Sea to the east, Belize has a land area of 22,965 square kilometers. Geographically, the country divides into six major districts: Belize, Cayo, Corozal, Orange Walk, Stann Creek, and Toledo.
