Ever since I read The Christ of the Indian Road [New York 1925; repr. London 1927] by Stanley [Eli] Jones [1884-1973], I have been directing my thoughts on “The Christ of the Chinese Road.” The reason why I have wanted to make a study of this subject is because I have been constantly keeping in mind three problems for which I am anxious to get more satisfactory solutions.
