ABSTRACT
Climate and permafrost are the two phenomena that form the basis of many of the natural features in the Arctic regions. The key problem in the permafrost area (cryolithozone) is the melting of the ice, which occurs broadly in the northern and boreal zones of the Earth. The frozen grounds, which have high strength and resistance under negative temperature, lose these properties when temperatures rise and the ice melts.
