Christine Overall is professor of philosophy and Queen’s University Research Chair in Ontario, Canada. Her books include Aging, Death, and Human Longevity: A Philosophical Inquiry (2003) and Why Have Children? The Ethical Debate (2012), excerpted below. Her research interests include feminist philosophy, applied ethics and bioethics, and philosophy of religion.
