ABSTRACT

Julius Lipner is a professor of Hinduism and the Comparative Study of Religion at the University of Cambridge. He is the author of The Face of Truth: A Study of Meaning and Metaphysics in the Vedantic Theology of Ramanuja (1986), Fruits of Our Desiring: Enquiry into the Ethics of the Bhagawad Gita (1997), Hindus: Their Religious Beliefs and Practices (2010), and a coauthor of Hindu Ethics: Purity, Abortion, and Euthanasia (1989).
