ABSTRACT
The goal of Morehouse is to redefine the meaning of leadership and to aid in developing young men into leaders who focus their lives around compassion, civility, integrity, spiritual discipline, intellectual astuteness, and moral wisdom. According to the website, Morehouse College is a private, all-male, liberal arts, historically Black college located in Atlanta, Georgia. The college is one of the few remaining traditional men’s liberal arts colleges in the United States. One of the most memorable and life-changing experiences in the author role as a leader in this program was an end-of-semester trip that the author planned for the Morehouse Bonner Scholars and the Mel Blount Youth Home in Vidalia, Georgia. While understanding the true power of resilience as a Black male, the author continue to serve God, work hard, and give back to his community.
