ABSTRACT
In this chapter, Maffie offers an overview of Aztec philosophy to contrast it with European philosophy. The emphasis here is on ethical issues, and Maffie argues that whereas European philosophy is primarily grounded in orthodoxy or right belief, Aztec philosophy is primarily grounded in orthopraxy or right practice. Aztec philosophy, in other words, is path-oriented.
