ABSTRACT
In this chapter, Sanchez considers the possibility and meaning of a “national philosophy” by examining the philosophy of Samuel Ramos. After considering two objections to nationalizing philosophy, Sanchez outlines a defense by examining the early philosophy of José Ortega y Gasset. By drawing the parallels between Ramos and Ortega, we might might reimagine the possibility and meaning of Latinx philosophy.
