Others scholars have noted in the same way that, as rivers are considered holy entities, at the meeting point of two streams, the ‘sacredness’ of the first river adds to that of the second one. The confluence seems to have a sort of ‘additive fame’ or ‘cumulative nature’ because it gives pilgrims the opportunity to bathe in two rivers at the same time.3
