ABSTRACT
Incident command is a vital skill for operational fire and rescue officers. This personal piece looks at the importance of incident command, several significant incidents and how personal operational learning has helped develop the skills, knowledge and experience from a small traffic incident through multi-agency cooperation and JESIP principles to the largest fire of its kind in peace-time Europe, Buncefield.
