ABSTRACT

During the last 20 years, ever more frequent governmental sponsored and other reports have found there to be fundamental shortcomings and variations in the performance of the NHS Ambulance Service operating in England. To address the current situation, which manifests as a large gap between analysis and action focused upon rectifying the perceived inadequacies, eight possible organisational responses are put forward for consideration.
