ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the interactions between the richness of sonic environments, human ways of living in sound and audiovisual storytelling. It acknowledges the perceptual doubts, appreciates the delicate transmission of information performed by the human body and ponders about auditory technologies as sensory tools. Self-reflective experiences of our physical engagements with sound connect wonder and conscious imagination in ways that enrich methods of sharing sensations. A set of progressive exercises, provided in this chapter, associates sonic perception and sensory awareness with collaborative audio and visual storytelling.
