ABSTRACT
This is a transcript of an Australian Broadcasting Company, Radio National Religion Report interview from 2007. Stephen Crittenden speaks with John Carroll about his book The Existential Jesus, in which he retells the story of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark. Over the course of the interview Crittenden prompts Carroll to retell certain crucial moments – or as Carroll would describe them, ‘impression points’ – from the story. This gives the reader both a summary of the story and an insight into Carroll’s approach and purpose.
