ABSTRACT
I have a background in physiotherapy and recently completed the MA Art Psychotherapy, at the University of Roehampton. I’m currently employed as an art psychotherapist within a primary school setting and additionally have an interest in art psychotherapy in medical contexts. As a student I completed a placement in a hospice setting and wished to write about this, as the work I completed with one client still informs my practice, serving as a reminder of the power of the symbolic image as a mediator for change.
