The Cofferidge Close Game simulates the planning and development of a mixed commercial, residential and community centre in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes (Fig. 2.1). The game illustrates how financial constraints must be weighed against social objectives in public sector development, and highlights ways in which different authorities and interest groups come to influence and determine the decision-making process (Fig. 2.2.)
