ABSTRACT

When looking at contemporary analytic feminism, there are three main themes that can be well described as metametaphysics: the metaphysical importance of the social, the political significance of metaphysical claims, and the link between metaphysics and social progress. The bulk of this chapter will focus on the third of these themes, since I think it is the place where feminist philosophy becomes the most metaphilosophically distinctive. But I’ll briefly discuss the first two before moving on.
