ABSTRACT
Chapter 9 draws some conclusions; first, by summarising the main charges levied on the concept of legacy and their negative implications for Olympism. It then discusses an alternative way of thinking about how the Olympic Games can further the social mission of the Olympic Movement by shifting the focus from abstract humanism to building capacities of real organisations and further strengthening its core pillars of sport and education.
