ABSTRACT
The word “terrorism” evokes many thoughts in a topical discussion. We will explore the various types of terrorism in our last century, along with topics ranging from active threats, biological, and chemical, as well as explosives. The term will be used throughout this chapter to help the reader ascertain various aspects of current and historical perspectives. We must learn from history, and help to determine where the next threat vectors may be coming from. This entire chapter is devoted to helping the reader view terrorism in context. We do not know what the next event will look like, but it most certainly may have some elements that we will describe in this chapter.
