ABSTRACT
Welcome to this session on “Effectiveness of Bank Support for Policy Reform.” It is quite clear that the effectiveness of the Bank through both aid and policy advice is absolutely central to the general debate on what should be done to accelerate development, what should be done to reduce poverty, and what should be done to support efforts of developing countries to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
