ABSTRACT

Sexuality & Culture is dedicated to the critical analysis and discussion of sociocultural and ethical issues relating to sexual behavior and sexual relationships. The annual publication will address fundamental and diverse discourses which function to frame sexuality in contemporary society. Sexuality & Culture is interdisciplinary, embracing the social and behavioral sciences, the humanities, and the law. Scholars from these disciplines will address issues in a manner that facilitates interdisciplinary communication. In part, this annual was created as a result of the rise of a sexual correctness ideology in academia, which has functioned to censor sexual expression for fear of giving offense, for fear of causing discomfort to those who supposedly were demanding the right to be comfortable. The editor Professor Roberto Refinetti is committed to creating a publication that does not limit its purview in any way by contemporary sexual politics. It could not have come about without the assistance, encouragement and inspiration of many persons.
