ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents an overview of key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book investigates different ways in which success, evaluation, and learning can be interlinked and, more specifically, how a positive approach might help establish this link. It focuses on success leads to more attention to evaluative inquiries that in turn will result in a more positive attitude toward evaluation and thus, a greater chance of evaluation use. The book explains that multiple decisions with regard to the evaluation approach, the role of the evaluator, the evaluative process, reporting and use are crucial in helping organizations or programs finding success. It suggests that involvement should be at all levels of an organization or system, and should be responsive to their particular needs. The book also suggests a number of evaluation approaches and practices that may strengthen evaluators' efforts in finding or contributing to an organization's or intervention's success.
