ABSTRACT
In the course of any analysis the analytic situation itself begins at various times to take on very special meanings. Somewhere in the course of analysis, particularly during those periods when they feel symptom free, there are probably other factors that keep them coming in the face of unpleasant reality of the time and money that is taken by the therapy itself. After the termination date was set there was a good deal of preoedipal material which had not been mentioned before and the transference seemed to be mostly related to patient's mother. The frustration of transference wishes is one of the most important tools in any analysis to help push the analysis to deeper and deeper levels. In this patient a most important transference frustration was obtained when she knew that her analysis was about to end.
