ABSTRACT

In investigating the global mobility of highly skilled workers, then, multinational corporations deserve a long and close look. The mobile telecommunications industry itself is one of the flagship sectors of the overall global economy today with respect to its sheer volume of business, its leading role in the creation of new technology, and the geographical reach of its markets. The sheer volume of business implied by even the most incremental increases of market penetration in China and India alone put the populous of developing countries at the heart of the mobile telecommunications industry's future. When business is going well, there is much movement across the global network of mobile telecommunications multinational corporation (MNC). Global growth in the mobile telcommunications business, therefore, set large numbers of MNC workers on the road for different periods of time, to accomplish a variety of tasks in wide-ranging directions.
