ABSTRACT
The scenario known as "Armageddon" is described in the Book of Daniel in Tanach and in the Book of Revelation in the New Testament. Armageddon plays little, if any, role in their support for Israel and the Jewish people. Christian donors contribute gladly and sacrificially out of a genuine love for Israel and the Jewish people, one motivated by their belief in God and the Bible. Even the National Jewish Community Relations Advisory Council (NJCRAC), already twenty years ago, issued calls to learn more about the evangelicals and engage them in dialogue and cooperation. This chapter urges that people read the recently published book A Match Made in Heaven, by Ze'ev Chafets, a Reform Jew who strongly advocates reaching out to evangelicals for the sake of Jewish survival. Most Jewish groups are stuck in their perception that "those people" are a threat to Jewish civil liberties and care more about ending abortions.
