ABSTRACT

The apologies in their ecstatic form, are easily absorbed and defused in the simulation of distinctions, of dialogues, and of positions; expressions without consequence articulated on the frame of a previous polemic: modernism/postmodernism. These voices become caught in the scenario of a second life, a second script, where the hollow-phonic echoes of the dialogic provide the sense of depth. The images projected are so real that the simple "evocation" of postmodern fragments and their epistemological "partiality" has induced reactions that mimic, or parody, the old modernist anomie: vertigo or dizziness before the void. The "approach" to the postmodern is neither asymptotic, probabilistic, nor telic, it is of a quite different order. Perhaps this approach should be rephrased the "not yet thorough postmodern". The apologists of anthropos remain "partially" committed to representation, to the presence of speech, to the positive, saturated, centered character of meaning and symbols, to the self-conscious subject or to its displaced equivalents, intersubjectivity and intertextuality.
