ABSTRACT
I would like to start this brief note by warmly thanking, on behalf of the entire Society, my predecessor, Prof. Olivier-François Touati, for his hard work and dedication over the past eight years as SSCLE Bulletin Editor. I wish him the best of luck in his new role as SSCLE Secretary, from which he will continue to serve our Society. On my part, I am honoured to succeed him as Bulletin Editor and I look forward to working with all of you for the collective benefit of the SSCLE.
