ABSTRACT
The Neighborhood Watch Program is designed to reduce crime and enhance the quality of life. The program has many benefits such as creates a greater awareness of crime, increased support from the police department, greater community pride, brings neighbors closer together, potential increased property value, crime prevention training and increases reporting of crime and suspicious activities. It also includes sign serves as a warning to criminals, provides residents with access to crime patterns and trends that may affect them, home security inspections, gives residents a contact within the police department and results in a better and safer community. Business Watch is one of the most effective and inexpensive ways to prevent crime and reduce fear. Business Watch fights the isolation that crime creates and feeds on. It creates bonds among area businesses and helps reduce burglaries, robberies, and vandalism. The purpose of the Worship Watch program is to involve members of a church, synagogue, mosque, or temple.
