ABSTRACT

The European world is largely stratified but is also wrought by a quest for legitimate equality by the discursive register and with a religious orientation. Almost at the same time as the triggering off of the uprisings – at times considered as the extension of the great French Revolution – one observes the great revolutions coming to an end in Europe itself. The coupling of the revolution and the Left results as much in the process of Westernization as in the emergence all over the world of a particular class of people – the intelligentsia. The intelligentsia takes the key role of inter-generational and inter-class action which mark a considerable part of the revolutionary protest movements all over the world. The intelligentsia, product of a process of diffusion of a new method of teaching that, depending on the countries, continues till the end of the 1970s, becomes the spearhead of propagation of revolutionary ideas.
