ABSTRACT

This chapter gathers stories from five women who have convened regularly for over a decade as part of a scholarly writing group. Our group has helped each of us narrate a sense of our professional selves, articulate nuanced understandings of what matters, and navigate issues and opportunities. We reflect on the impact of this collective process and illustrate how we have developed a shared wisdom out of our long-term commitment to each other’s development as whole persons. We believe that our experience offers one path for creating a more inclusive and responsive academy.
