ABSTRACT
The chapter is presented as a dialogue where reminiscences on working as a female academic are presented and explored. Common research interests in the First Year Experience have been a foundation for our 12-year friendship and professional partnership. In that time, there have been many changes in the academic workplace and we have had to re-invent our professional selves and develop resilience and confidence in new areas. This narrative is reflective of the shared experience and is presented in several short dialogues with a range of topics.
