ABSTRACT

This chapter speaks to how life narratives were shared in a collaborative journey with six women at different stages of their lives and academic careers. The Life Review process, a carefully structured and facilitated approach to guided autobiography, enabled group members to share deeply personal reflections on the nuances and complexities of life as women academics with multi-layered identities. Through sharing angst and celebrating successes, group members experienced a transformative process that enabled them to develop a new sense of agency and clarity about how they negotiated multiple expectations and responsibilities inherent in their lives.
