ABSTRACT
Based on long-term research on the application of corpora technology and computer-aided translation in translation, it is believed that the use of modern translation technology, particularly the use of digitalized project management tools, computer monolingual and multi-lingual corpora, as well as professional computer-aided translation systems, is the most direct and rapid way of enhancing the efficiency and quality of Chinese culture translation. Many domestic researchers also suggest that Chinese-English parallel corpora have a high value for translation teaching and translation practice. A majority of the existing works written by western sinologists focusing on Chinese history contain a large number of descriptions about special phenomena and unique items in Chinese culture. However, some flaws and misunderstandings in the application of corpora in the practice of translating Chinese culture have been seen. Many famous sinologists tend to have Chinese names rather than using the transliterations from their original names.
