Technology has always affected society on a primal level. This chapter investigates how technology is changing our eating habits, and explores whether it can help to eat more sustainably. “The adoption of technology is a global phenomenon, and the intensity of its usage is particularly impressive in emerging markets”. The emergence of new technology has had a startling influence on the way we engage with food. The contemporary design of the brand aims to appeal to a new generation of food lovers with an eco-conscience and smartphone technology. There are a range of applications in the field of food and tourism. Technology has fueled gastronomic developments until we reached the heights of fluffy sponge cake. Compared with mobile apps, searching using a computer platform is slow and inefficient. The location-based services of mobile devices are one of the key defining factors which set them apart from personal computers.
