ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book provides how compliance manifests and can be formally studied, at the different levels identified in the compliance framework. It considers how the compliance cases presented throughout relationships posited within the compliance framework, and how the cases can inform future development of the compliance framework. Clearly, the most direct way to develop the compliance framework through future research is to apply it deliberately within a variety of compliance cases. An interdisciplinary approach to the study of compliance offers insights on how analysts can be more intentional in studying or monitoring compliance. At the meso level, the focus is on compliance/noncompliance decisions by a group or by individuals in a group that collectively determine group compliance. At the macro level, compliance is assessed from an aggregate, or systemic, perspective.
