ABSTRACT

Friction ridge impressions are a common type of evidence encountered at a crime scene. Proper collection and packaging of evidence are crucial to the successful recovery of friction ridge impressions in a laboratory setting. This work addresses the fragile nature of friction ridge impressions and techniques which will help to preserve their integrity until further development can take place.
