Biological evidence has continued to gain importance throughout the years with the development of new technology and advances in their sensitivity towards trace evidence. Blood, semen and hair are some of the most reliable for producing DNA profiles; therefore, their careful collection, transportation and preservation are of vital importance in a criminal investigation.
