ABSTRACT

Textile fabric is a flexible assembly of fibers or yarns, either natural or man-made. It may be produced by a number of techniques, the most common of which are weaving and knitting. Weaving is a chain process of textile products that involves the interlacement of two sets of yarn. Bow is a fabric condition resulting when weft yarns or knitting courses are displaced from a line perpendicular to the selvages and form one or more arcs across the width of the fabric. Woven fabric is made by the interlacement of warp and weft yarn at a right angle. In trade relationships between sellers of fabrics and their customers, a system of defect analysis or defect grading must be agreed upon and be in use. The quality assurance as well as the economic viability of the weaving plant is significantly influenced by the extent of its success in eliminating cloth faults.
