ABSTRACT

Rafael Larraneta Olleta was a Spanish teacher with doctorates in Philosophy and Theology who dedicated a large part of his life to the study and translation of Kierkegaard's oeuvre. Larraneta's study, La interioridad apasionada. Verdad y amor en Soren Kierkegaard, was published by Editorial San Esteban in 1990. Thus he dedicates the first part of his book to discussing the problem of truth and the second to examining the problem of love in order to show the origin of both notions on the basis of a shared philosophical argument. For Larraneta, interiority is the underlying theme of the entire Kierkegaardian philosophy. On the one hand, reducing Kierkegaard's intention to the description of passionate interiority impedes the understanding of the difficulties which the Dane's thought runs into. On the other hand, when Larraneta analyzes the reading that Adorno makes of Kierkegaard's work, he does not show why Adorno's criticisms are not consistent.
