ABSTRACT

The monographic issue of the Mexican periodical Tópicos contains all the papers presented at the International Symposium Las publicaciones de Søren Kierkegaard de 1843. The monographic issue of Tópicos aims to offer some critical studies about Kierkegaard's authorship and his first thoughts about individual existence through the well-known three stages as they are exposited in the works of 1843. First, the book contains six papers about Either/Or written by Julia Watkin, Luis I. Guerrero, Alastair McKinnon, Ralph McInerny, and María García Amilburu, respectively. Second, there is Arne Grøn's study of Repetition that deals with the ambiguity of the concept of repetition through a detailed and critical reading of the work. Third, the monograph presents the proceedings of a panel discussion about Fear and Trembling, which includes Leonardo Polo's talk. Yet, despite its limitations, the monograph Las publicaciones de Søren Kierkegaard de 1843 was and still is a very important work in the Spanish reception of Kierkegaard.
