ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the potentials for development of entrepreneurship in the Nigerian informal economy through a study of the linkages between intrapreneurship and capital accumulation knowledge among trainees in the fashion and furniture industries in Lagos State, Nigeria. It explores the following research questions: What is the extent of intrapreneurship and capital accumulation knowledge in the Nigerian informal economy? The chapter aims to promote the knowledge of intrapreneurship in the informal economy, which is a major source of survival for many Nigerians, with a focus on situations in the fashion and furniture industries. It shows that the review of relevant literature on the concepts of intrapreneurship and capital accumulation. The chapter examines intrapreneurship and capital accumulation knowledge among trainees in the fashion and furniture industries in Lagos State, Nigeria, with a focus on several research questions including extent of intrapreneurship in the fashion and furniture industries, and the linkages between the practice of intrapreneurship and capital accumulation knowledge.
