ABSTRACT
Research involving human subjects has many interconnected ethical, safety and design issues. Further complexity is added when using children, young people or other vulnerable groups. This chapter provides a summary of key issues to consider and should help researchers to prepare appropriate documents to use for their local ethical approval process and for undertaking their research.
