ABSTRACT

The international development of the Japanese motor vehicle industry, in turn, has exerted a great influence on the structural and locational pattern of the entire industry in the world. The establishment of Japan Ford gave a great stimulus to the development of the Japanese motor vehicle industry. The efforts by Japanese companies in sales and technological development thus raised the Japanese motor vehicle industry to an important position in the world. The development of the Japanese motor vehicle industry since the Second World War has been remarkable. The restructuring of the US motor vehicle industry affected the Japanese industry as their government agreed to implement a self-control policy in exporting motor vehicles to the US.
