ABSTRACT

When I finished my “O” Levels, before I went to Strathmore College in Nairobi to study for my “A” Levels, something had happened. I joined Kericho High School in 1965. When I was at Kericho High School I was very good in mathematics. There was no arithmetic problem I could not solve. Yes. We used to have a textbook written by a person called C.V. (Clement Vavasor) Durrell titled Certificate Mathematics and there was one time when we were doing the usual daily tests and working our way through the book. The teachers had an answer book, which they used for grading. So I remember one sum that I was marked wrong on because the answer book gave a different answer.
