ABSTRACT

Beginning with the development of arts management programs in the United States and Europe in the 20th century, discussions about discipline standards and attributes of the field have continued until the present. Through analysis of the literature of arts management education, and comparison of curriculum from the UK, US, and China, this article aims to discover key similarities and differences of arts management education in different countries. While the number of cases examined is limited, the aim is to develop some understanding of the trajectory of arts management as a discipline, internationally, using the case of the three countries noted above.
