ABSTRACT

Feminist geographers have long argued for the importance of feminist ethics in the research process, as well as its products. This has led to various methodological research approaches, including collaborative and action research, and consideration of how scale and rescaling operate through research design and implementation. We examine these factors by exploring a project in Mumbai, India, based on scaling access to justice for survivors of sexual violence. We illustrate the value of scaling the results of effective action-based research to increase its transformative potential for survivors of sexual violence and to enhance their access to justice.
