ABSTRACT

This chapter examines Indigenous DJ collective A Tribe Called Red’s album We Are the Halluci Nation as both a concept (from a John Trudell poem) and a collaboration that reflects a hopeful politics of intersectional Indigenous feminism. The Halluci Nation supports Indigenous sovereignty through a decolonized global solidarity and undermines a toxic masculinity that subjugates Indigenous men, women, and queer/Two-Spirit people within settler colonialism.
