ABSTRACT

The concept of building a prescriptive memory for neutralizing negative experiences is compelling. Dreamscaping inspired me to create a step-by-step group process for creating prescriptive memory that combines memory deconstruction and reconstruction (Graham, 2013); negative and positive experience linkage (Hanson, 2013), and the conjuring up of compelling stories (Armstrong, 2015), with my own understanding of the creative process and art therapy (Mitchell, 2016).
