This is the trajectory of historiographical research on the question of Palestine. It describes my development as a scholar and an activist, since I obtained my Ph.D. from Oxford University. I began with a positivist approach to history, which emphasized the importance of archival documents. With help of my mentors in Oxford, this approach helped me to debunk Israel’s foundational myths.

Through acquaintance with more reading on historiography in general, I have slowly built a scholarly position that combined activism with professional writing. It ends with my introduction to settler colonialism that accentuated the nexus with activism in my research.
