ABSTRACT
This chapter treats the astral sciences as a whole instead of treating its parts in separate chapters. In order to explain some positions held by historical actors, it begins with a brief survey on the classifications of the astral sciences. Its main themes are practices in different parts of the astral sciences, including cosmological theories, astrological concepts and mathematical methods.
